Welcome
Welcome to our official website. Hope for Women and Children-Sierra Leone (HWC-SL) is a National Women’s organization founded in 2019 to provide a platform for effective debate and action for Women and Children in Sierra Leone. HWC-SL mission is to empower women for sustainable development and support Children for a better future, and its vision is to empower women and meet every child needs, support and build their capacity in Sierra Leone.
As I look at the growth of Hope for women and children in its inception in 2019, I am extremely proud of what we have been able to achieve and contribute. I am even more excited about our outlook for an equally promising future. We have successfully managed to establish ourselves as an organization that empowers women and children in their communities in rural settings, and influences legislation and policy all over Sierra Leone.
It is satisfying to know that we have the full support of our staff and communities in acquiring the necessary resources to reach our goals. This collective support enables us to continue to launch new strategies and establish new partnerships.
On behalf of the Hope for Women and Children, Board of Trustees, the staff and our many volunteers over the years, I like to thank everyone who has supported us in this journey of empowering women and children in their communities in rural areas, and influencing legislation and policy for all over Sierra Leone. With joint efforts, I believe that we can achieve.
Hope for Women and Children programs focus on eight (8) thematic areas which are: Education, Women Empowerment, Child Protection, Agriculture and Food Security, Women's Rights, Research, Climate Change, and Health. Our organization's only challenge is to get potential funding from both local and international NGOs, to implement its activities. We have done some work that has saved and transformed lives but at a very low scale. This is the reason why we want to partner with potential funders of the same mission and visions
to network and invest in the lives of our women and children. Our joint venture can help improve lives, create job opportunities and increase livelihood to our people and communities we serve and even promote our organization expansion and relationship. I believe that a joint venture can help both our organizations out.
I wish you a good time as you read about our works on the above thematic areas. Should you have any questions or doubt about our work, kindly get in touch with us through the contact information provided below:
